In 1989 on the 8th of June our pioneers Srs. Grace. Tessy. ChristineVas and Sheela cruz along with Mother Lydia the Provincial, Sr. Victoria and Sr.Rosy reached the bishops House. They were warmly welcomed by Bishop Rt.Rev.Pascal Topno and his team. On the 9th after the Eucharistic celebration they left the Bishop’s house to set foot on the soil of Bhatgaon. The people welcomed the sisters in their typical culture. The seed of mission life was sown by visiting the families, attending the sick, conducting catechism, non formal education and pastoral care etc. At the request of the people and the Bishop started K.G section and std 1 in Hindi medium in the miners quarters. 14th Aug. 1989 our mini school shifted to the newly built shed at Bhatgaon, Pande Karcha and on the 9th of Sept. 1989 sisters also shifted their quarters to the newly built abode at Pande karcha. On the 30th of June 1990 our new convent was blessed by His Lordship Bishop Pascal Topno.

At present our community is involved in teaching, boarding, health care, pastoral, and social work and family visits. Every Saturday and Sunday sisters visit the catholic families and pray with them. Sr. in charge of social work visits the poor villages and gives various awareness programmes to the women and children . Sisters try to carry out their responsibility with dedication and zeal.

We cater to the poor through our Hindi medium school . In 1994 an English Medium school was started which was handed over to the diocese in 2011. We carry on the mission of educating the tiny tots of K. G and Nursery in English medium. We celebrated the Silver Jubilee of our foundation on the 11.01.2014 with lot of joy and gratitude. The seed which was sown 27 years ago has grown to a gigantic tree. Days of joy, Days of anxiety, days of triumph and failure have passed but all for God and his people. Srs.Tessy, Grace, Camila, Hariette, Veronica, Cloti D’Souza have served this community as animators with the collaboration of all the sisters. Presently Sr.Jane Crasta leads the community.
