St. Charles convent Shivpuri was established on June 15th 1991. We were invited by the Rt. Rev. Frederic d’ Souza the then bishop of Jhansi. Sr. Lydia the then provincial of the Sisters of St. Charles took great initiative to start and establish the mission there. The pioneers of the mission were Srs. Sebasti, Carmine and Bertin. The purpose of our mission there was to start an English medium school to provide quality education for the local children . There were no good schools at all in the town. Thus an English medium school was started which grew into a mighty portal of education for thousands of children who are well placed in the society today. Today the school has strength of about 2500 students with ICSE& ISC streams and stands proud as the number one school in the town. Along with excellence in studies the children are educated with good moral values, civil sense and psychological and spiritual basis. The sisters also involve themselves in pastoral &social activities to help the poor people of the locality.

After twenty five silver years hard labour and committed service the sisters of St. Charles has spread its wings far and its roots deep specially in the field of education. Many hands have toiled towards the growth of this mission. The great support and encouragement received from the Gracious Bishop Rt. Rev. Joseph Kaithathara, bishop of Gwalior is to be written in golden letters. The Benedictian Fathers have always been our spiritual support and the DSS sisters our good neighbors. As the school celebrates its Jubilee year we remember with gratitude the marvels the Almighty has done for us and the generous help and accompaniment of all our well wishers and friends!
