It was at a time when we were direly in need of having a formation house for the Northern Province, that the generous Bishop of Jhansi Rt. Rev. Fredreic D’ Souza ( the brother of Late Sr. Rene) was approached by Sr. Christine the then provincial of Northern Province. Although her appeal was first turned off, later the gracious bishop gifted us with 4 acres of land adjacent to the seminary having a boundary wall on 2 sides and a canal on the other side.

The foundation stone was blessed on the 31st of October and our and our community at Judepur, Jhansi was established on 15th June 2008. It was indeed a gift given to us from God through the generosity and kindness of our Bishop and the generous contribution of our benefactors who helped us with the project. The great enthusiasm and selfless service contributed by sr. Christine the then provincial towards the realization of this dream is highly appreciated.

Srs . Elizabeth Chacko, Leena Pinto, Asha Baxla and 13 candidates started staying in the house from the 15th of June, 2008. The formation house is still serving the purpose of catering to the pre- postulants & the postulants. From the year 2012 onwards two sisters are teaching in St. Jude’s School which is started by the diocese. The sisters also visit the families and take coaching classes for the poor and weaker children in the evenings.
